Admissions

The Aequalis Education Trust (AET) is the admissions authority for all academy schools within the Trust.  Admissions to the schools within AET are administered by the Local Authority as part of the co-ordinated admissions scheme.  

Admission Arrangements, 2025-2026 (current year)

  1. Applications opened on 1st September 2024. 
  2. The deadline application date for first schools admissions for Sep-25 intake was midnight on 15th January 2025 (national closing date).
  3. The offer date for the Sep-25 intake was 16th April 2025.  The offer would have been emailed to you, or alternatively you could log onto the Local Authority Citizen's Portal to view and/or accept the offer.

In-Year Applications or Late Admissions

If you wish to make a late application or an application for an in-year admission to one of the schools, you will need to make this via the Citizen's Portal via the Local Authority.

Appeals

Any applicant whose child has been refused a place at our academy schools has the right to appeal via an independent appeal panel.  Please contact the academy school directly.  If your appeal is for a child transferring to middle school or starting primary school in September and you are told of the decision on the National Offer Day, you should submit your appeal by the date specified in the offer letter - this is normally 28 school days after the National Offer Day.  If the appeal relates to an in-year admission, you should submit your appeal within 28 days of being told that your application was unsuccessful.  More information can be found here:
